Hear Doc Robyn’s 5 Tips for Playing Brave in Life
Feedback from recent presentations:
“Doc Robyn is an organized and inspiring consultant-speaker. I watched her captivate the crowd with solid content, actionable techniques, humor, and solutions for improved business communications. I would highly recommend her services as a Consultant, Media guest, Keynote Speaker and Breakaway group facilitator. Audiences that would benefit from her services would be universities, corporations, and tradeshow/conferences. She can be a guest on radio talk shows, and resident expert on TV news panels/programs as well. She has the impressive intellect, visual charisma, and the think-on-her-feet ability for live audiences, broadcasts, and Q & A segments. You would not be disappointed.” – George Bruno – Spokesperson, Marketing and Business Development Pro, Media Trainer

The Art of Effective Communication
Conflict, when done correctly, is a good thing. It allows for differing opinions and ideas to be shared and discussed. It keeps good ideas from getting lost and bad ideas from being implemented. The challenge is most of us have never been shown how to engage in productive conflict. It is easier to ignore the voice in our head telling us to speak up. We don’t want to cause waves so we go along with the flow. But then the ‘flow’ goes somewhere that doesn’t work for us. We can’t hold it any longer and we have to speak out. In a sudden burst, all the thoughts and ideas we have been bottling up come spewing out. We feel better for a moment. But then the gossip, backstabbing and bickering starts. Oh the drama!
How many negotiations would have turned out differently, great ideas would have been shared or bad ideas would have been shot down if you had the confidence and know how to engage in productive conflict and bravely have tough conversations? Whether you are talking to coworkers, going to an interview or making a move for the corner office, your success, and the success of your team is dependent on being able to get your ideas out there, stand up for yourself and engage in the conversation. Stop letting how you communicate hold you back. Knowledge is power and how to engage in effective communication and productive conflict is the particularly powerful knowledge Doc Robyn can share.
Using Language Powerfully
Attendees will leave Doc Robyn’s information filled presentation knowing how men and women have different communication DNA and understanding how individual communication fingerprints may be limit success. She also provides useful strategies for engaging in productive conflict and professional disagreement so potential and good ideas are never wasted. This is a high energy, funny and interactive conversation that will leave her audience ready to go out and try the tips and tricks themselves!
On behalf of Dress for Success Morris County, I wanted to officially thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to deliver such an informative and inspiring presentation. It is great to know there are techniques for “taking control” and “stopping the drama”. The content was great and your very humorous delivery style was really engaging and made the topic very human. – Kathi Koufacos Dress For Success Morris County Professional Women’s Group and Mentoring Coordinator, Madison Community House
Stop The Drama!
Why are gossip, backstabbing, bickering and catty behavior (office politics) SO common and what can you do to make it stop? Doc Robyn can tell you! Plus she will share secrets usually reserved for large corporations and high level executives to show you how to Stop The Drama! and get more from your existing potential by focusing energy on great leadership, teamwork, communication, and productive conflict! – Especially great for women’s conferences and teams
Remarkable Leaders, Not Just Managers
Anyone can be assigned the role of manager. “Get that done.” “Make people do this task.” “Keep track of the hours.” “Don’t go over budget.” Only the great have true leadership prowess. Don’t cheat existing leadership potential by making them reinvent the wheel about the difference between being a passionate leader and simply being a manager! Doc Robyn will provide knowledge, skills and abilities that will make a difference.
Getting Bad News to the Top
Less than 20% of executives are properly informed of negative information relevant to their organization in a timely fashion. Employees do not speak up for fear of being seen as the bear of bad news and negative consequences. So bad news is buried until it explodes. Doc Robyn will show you how leaders unconsciously create that fear and what can be done differently to establish healthy communication and productive conflict so the information you need to be successful reaches those who can use it most.
Inclusive Not Abusive
Great teams are founded on trust. Initiations and hazing don’t develop trust. Rather than just telling your students hazing is against the law and having them sign anti-hazing statements, give them knowledge, skills and abilities to build strong, productive, cohesive teams. It will benefit them while they are in college and continue to give them an edge when you send them out into the real world.
